Refund Policy
At Cheecam, we aim to provide you with high-quality camera rentals and excellent customer service. We understand there may be occasions where a refund is necessary, and we’ve laid out our terms below for clarity and fairness.
Refund Eligibility
- Before Shipment: You’re eligible for a full refund of your order value if you cancel before the cameras ship.
- After Shipment (Unused Cameras): No refunds will be granted after the cameras ship out. However, if you decide to return the cameras before your event and do not use them, you may be eligible for a store credit in the amount of your order value, minus a $50 restocking fee and any shipping costs incurred.
- Non-Functional Cameras (Partial Refunds): In the unlikely event that a camera arrives non-functional, we will review partial refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.
How to Request a Refund
- Contact Customer Support: Email our support team at support@cheecam.com with your order number and a brief description of the issue or reason for refund.
- Follow Further Instructions: Our team will provide instructions for shipping the cameras back if necessary. Keep all original packaging and documents to ensure a smooth return process.
- Processing Time: Once we receive your request (and any returned cameras, if applicable), we’ll process the refund or store credit within 7–10 business days.
Special Exceptions
We strive to be fair with every request, but there are certain cases where refunds or credits cannot be offered (even if you’re within 14 days of purchase). These include:
- Damage Due to Improper Use or Negligence: This includes misuse, abuse, improper care, negligence, or accidents (including pet damage).
- Lost or Recklessly Handled Cameras: If cameras are lost or damaged due to misplacement or reckless handling, refunds do not apply.
- Unsatisfactory Film Photos: We cannot guarantee the outcome of film photos. Any issues resulting from improper handling, lack of flash usage, or user error are not eligible for refunds.
- Refund Request Timeline: Refund requests submitted more than 30 days past your gallery date are ineligible. (Your gallery date is the date we send you your photo gallery via email.)
